South East in Summer

July Festivals

Soak up the sights and sounds of family friendly festivals this July at the Clonmel Junction Festival (July 2-11), Spraoi in the Park, Waterford (July 2-4), JFK Dunbrody Festival, New Ross (July 16-18) and Waterford's SprOg (July 26-28), and Ardmore's Pattern Festival (July 23-25).

Get Out There!

Take a walk in the Glen of Aherlow, Co. Tipperary; cast a line for brown trout in Cahir, or salmon in Ballyduff, or try your hand at sea angling in Ardmore or Youghal. Follow a gardening trail and be sure to visit Carlow's Floral Festival (July 31-Aug 8).

Music and Culture

Experience visual arts, theatre, dance and music at the Kilkenny Arts Festival (Aug 6-15) and street theatre and music at Spraoi Festival Waterford (July 30-Aug 1). Or, drop in on any of the traditional music, dance and storytelling nights throughout the South East.

What's New?

Visit the Wateford Crystal Visitor Centre at its new location in Wateford City, pop in to St. Francis Brewery in Kilkenny or try the latest activity in Wexford at the Gravity Xtreme Adventure in Courtown.

Relax and Unwind

Whether your idea of relaxation is being pampered at a spa, working on your golf swing, indulging in a spot of retail therapy, or simply letting your taste buds sample some of the region's delicious food products - you'll find all this and more in the South East.
